Sagada Tour
Sagada is a town in the Cordillera Mountains, within the Philippines’ Mountain Province. Echo Valley’s hanging coffins are displayed high on cliffs, while centuries-old coffins are stacked in burial sites like Lumiang Cave. The nearby Sumaguing Cave has unusual limestone formations. To the north, Bomod-ok Falls has a natural swimming pool. Rice terraces are carved into the area's surrounding mountainsides.
Lumiang Cave
Often referred to as the small cave, Lumiang Cave is a sacred burial ground for the natives where ancient pine wood coffins are piled one on top of the other since centuries back, an old tradition that never fails to baffle the curiosity of various travellers.
Hanging Coffins
Hanging coffins are a gem that one can only reach through an exhausting trek. During the Pre-Hispanic era, relatives and love ones od the deceased would travel the beaten path in order to place the coffin inside the Lumiang Cave. Prior to that a 5-day pre-burial ritual was required during which body was preserved using smoke.
Sumaging Cave
The one most popular to visitors, is a 40 minute walk from Sagada on the Suyo Road. Unusual limestone formations are found in the cave.
This small waterfall and natural swimming pool is situated in the midst of rice terraces and provides a refreshing air for weary travelers. It is only a 15-minute walk from the town center along rice terraces.
Bokong Falls
Sagada Church
Built in the early 1900`s, this place of worship is one of the most famous landmarks of Sagada. Beyond the church are the limestone cliffs and pine scented air of Echo Valley and Calvary Hill.
