Sorsogon
Sorsogon is at the tip of the Bicol Peninsula and faces the island of Samar to the southeast across the San Bernardino Strait and Ticao Island to the southwest. Sorsogueños is how the people of Sorsogon call themselves.
Barcelona Church can be found in the municipality of the same name. The town itself is named after Barcelona, Spain by the colonists longing for their own country after seeing the place's similarity. As one of the most well-preserved churches in Sorsogon, Barcelona Church was constructed in 1874. Its weathered but majestic stone walls and bell tower can still be found intact as well. The wall is made of large stones placed upon each other and held together by a concoction of lime, egg whites and coconut wine. There are also ruins of ancient structures that can be found outside the church, which include a stone fort and schoolhouse.
